Constance Jaeggi and Ricky Tricky Cat scored 221.5 points to win $8,800 and the 5/6-year-old Non-Pro championship at the 2020 PCCHA Holy Cow Performance Horses Futurity, on October 10, in Las Vegas. Cody Hedlund and Teles One Time scored 220 points for the reserve championship and $7,300.
Constance Jaeggi, the NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame earner of $727,160, and 2014 NCHA Non-Pro World Champion, also won the 4-year-old Non-Pro championship at this show on Dual Clay LTE $88,737.
Owned by J Five Horse Ranch, Weatherford, Tex., Ricky Tricky Cat LTE $56,623, a 6-year-old gelding by High Brow Cat, was bred by Darren Blanton, Dallas, Tex., out of Smart Lil Ricochet daughter Ricochets Chick, the dam of five earners of $149,299, including Indian Rick LTE $51,160.
Ricky Tricky Cat and Jaeggi were Non-Pro reserve champions of last year’s PCCHA Derby, and Ricky Tricky Cat has won past Open Novice titles with Grant Setnicka.
